can anyone explain this (happened to my dad tonight):
1- driving in the second lane on the highway- thunderstorms in the area, but on this particular stretch there is no rain.
2- truck begins pitching towards the left. apply brakes nothing. steer right, no effect.
3- truck continues turning, driver braces for impact against median which seems imminent, truck is coming to 180.
4- truck comes to a stop without touching the wall it was barrelling toward, making a near 360 degree turn.
no tires were blown-out.
(???)
nothing was wrong with the truck...or the driver. drove away. best we can come up with it was some kind of twister? or some really lucky hydroplaning combined with some sort of thunderstorm realted wind whipping? no idea...
truck didnt hit the wall...just seemed like it was going to based on the trajectory, but something pulled it back out of that trajectory and left it facing the opposite direction.
