it would be nice for this issue to stop here. there are many people here who've been contributing incredible work with respect to others for quite a long time, and a small few who seem to have little. i think we've all put many hours of time into drawing here and are fueled on by each others work. i have put a lot of work into maintaining this area and trying to keep things interesting without being too imposing, and creating boards based on your ideas.
please use these boards with some respect, thanks
Maybe just an elitist. There have been some very creative and funny lardman pics which have had lots of positive responses. Infact, I refer back to my original statement when i said you were a facist elitist for the pure fact that just because you don't like something, you are trying to rid of it. Creative expression is a basic right that we all should be able to indulge in even if it's for fun only. I thought that's what your website was all about.
i am responding to the artists here, this is NOT just my opinion. do you see the response to this issue by the other people drawing? i agree there have been a few good lardmen pics, but the response to emma has been a bit hostile, especially from the lardmen. should i rename the website to "emma's lardman testing grounds?" i should count them just in the last day, so so many. i've been maintaining these boards for over a year and haven't seen any issue like this. this isn't an issue of i don't like your drawing and am going to delete it or some artistic snobbery, it's an issue of watching someone selfishly use this site and not take note of other people's feelings. many people have voiced things that have obviously not made any difference to her. i'm here to mediate this.
thats not it at all. most of the people that have contirbuted here have done so in a positive way. in an unselfish way. free from seriousness. good people doing good drawings, inspired by each other (regardless of talent or not, cause what is talent really) it just seems that as of late, it has taken on the role of so many other sites that are void of any sense of community, i.e: blograffiti. i long for the days of the drama-less undersanding that was never talked about here, but, was understood regardless. anyway, take it however you want.
just like to point out that for such a hard criticizer of "elitist bastards" old lardman was a little tough on a serious art website, yanbu you do a great job with this site and i think anybody here who actually gives two shits about what they draw agrees with me.
