Hello everyone. As of the past 4 years i have started collecting late 70s and early 80s vintage video media and machines. (portable Stereo microcassette audio, reel to reel audio, Sanyo Vcord II video, Quasar VX video, Betamax video, CED Selectavision video, VHD video, laserdisc video and CVC Microvideo cassette video. The CVC microvideo format is my favorite to collect. I was born in 1982 yet i trully value humanities history of home video technology.
Like i said before: We get older, wiser, balder, our hobbies change, our friends change, things come and go. Yet, 10eastern is still here. Nostalgia of the early 2000s internet. Before Facebook for goodness sakes. How rad is that.
Back in the early days of 10eastern i would use Internet Explorer browser on my Windows Xp Pentium 3 866MHZ (Overclocked to 1Ghz) desktop PC. I now use the Chrome browser with the add-on option on my Windows 8.1 notebook.
I really value 10eastern's consistency. All our drawings are still here, like a diary. To whoever moderates and maintains this site. Thank you for keeping something very special alive.
Anyone remember using this vintage video
tape format back in the early 80s? Same
size as compact audio cassette. Same 240
scan lines of color video resolution of
a VHS tape. Single channel mono audio
only. Very Nostalgic stuff.
Hold on Mr. Flagman. I just read that you have to run linux in order to draw here. I am able to draw on Windows 8.1. I had to change some settings on Java. I would love to help figure this out.
You just hit me with a wave of love. I told my Mother and sister about my feelings towards Men yesterday. They are supportive which made me cry after 20 years of blocking my emotions. You have to realize that my Mother is 57 and is super religious. I guess my love and good actions overwhelmed their fear of homosexuality. I feel so much lighter now. I want to draw something soon. Thanks.
Hey Mr.Flagman. It is so nice to finally see some kind of movement around here. I don't want this wonderful website to dissapear. Could you draw something for us so we can feel some hope. I'm going through a tough time with an internal battle to come out of the closet by letting my family know my feelings. I want you to know that your drawings make me happy and that you are a good person.
People change. Things come and go. 10EASTERN is still here. Drew my old Samsung Mega phone which is now being used to help the Berkeley "BOINC" project which I have been donating to since 1999. A great way to get some use of old phones /tablets/ or notebooks. I have "Crazy Mad" hope that we will find solutions and cures to worldwide ailments. Running mostly The World Community Grid and some Rosetta@home. My Seti@home contribution has gone way down the past 2 years.
I remember a drawing similar to this. The building was made of bricks and someone typed in the coments, "Good luck taking a shit tho."
This reminds me of a machine that would draw your own custom bicycle at the Tech Museum Of Inovation in San Jose Ca.

You know what, i think that whoever drew this did it as a joke to themselves and used a fake name. He or she must feel awful about doing it. Just have Yanbu delete it, hey we all do things we later regret. Were just human. Help fight global warming, LATER YALL.
