it's even more brilliant that you are retaining your draw-bands and movie-quiz scores!

oh and i made the size of the frame large enough to bind three books at once, which helps

i built my frame mostly from this example: http://uazu.net/notes/binding.html i added an adjustable / movable guide for the bottom instead of fixed so i can make different sized books if i need, and modified a few things. the contact cement i used holds super duper strong, i was opening and flipping aggressively to test it and it held up great. i used goop household contact cement, the only drawback is it doesn't flow well - too thick, i had to do a lot of smooshing and rubbing etc. i'll just have to experiment with different glues (and the goop stuff smells nasty)

one thing to add - i'm having the printing and cutting done professionally so this won't be a cheap home printer style with scissors thing, should look pretty slick

the last printed gallery ended at drawring #2454, next months gallery will be the best from that point on to here - and so many of them are incredible! i wish you could see the pile that needs to be bound to frames, it's staggering. i'll be posting an online gallery of the ones that will be on the wall, a favorites of sorts. also - last night i built my first bookbinding press out of various pieces of hardwood, and it works great! i tested it out on 200 pages cut 4 x 4 1/2 and glued at the spine with a cover, it holds together perfectly. so real soon there will be some drawrings books available on the site! just a matter of printing them and getting them cut to size, probably by this weekend i will have 5 or more completed.
