The torch light is getting dim and will only last 3 more minutes. You might want to eat the ketchup.....looks like you might be stuck here for some time if you don't act fast. What now?

use the screwdriver to remove the plate cover on the power junction box above the desk, and connect the wiring to bypass the switch! ?
