is there a trick to as where to postion the window if you dont have the original resolution of 1280x800?

No, it should just auto detect your display. The 1280x1024 restraint is no longer relevant, and is only mentioned in the outdated readme in the zip file. Read the newer readme instead (dated 4/5/09).

I'll try 1024x768 and if doesn't work I'll fix it. Any other bugs/requests you find, just call 'em out and I'll see what I can do.
