hey rene! welcome back! :-) that is really cool, I recall using one old PC I had to help with a similar cause years back. I just checked out the BOINC page at Berkely, there are a lot of projects there. nice to see a draw from you!
this is great! :-) I was terrible at this game growing up, but later got the stupid DVD version where you could play with your remote and ended up getting pretty good at it. now I have it on my emulator setup, along with all the other ones like space ace etc. yeah I think this was the first 50 cent game I played too. I knew a kid who was awesome at it growing up and would watch him blast through screens with no problem and give me tips, but when I'd try my timing was shit, haha
